Contour Airlines is scheduled to take over Essential Air Service at DuBois Regional Airport in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, starting February 1, 2027, with new flights to Atlanta and Chicago O’Hare. The airline announced the change on October 21. Contour’s announcement

The Atlanta route will operate daily. Flights to Chicago O’Hare will run five times per week—Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Contour said it will use 30-seat regional jets, with departures scheduled for 9 a.m. from DuBois to Atlanta and 2:15 p.m. to Chicago. The published schedule lists return flights from Atlanta and O’Hare as well.

Southern Airways Express currently serves DuBois with flights to Pittsburgh and Washington Dulles. Its service is scheduled to end January 31, 2027, before Contour’s routes begin the next day, according to AirlineGeeks’ report. Regulators selected Contour earlier in October, and its service term is set to run through January 31, 2031, that report said.

Contour’s agreement includes interline arrangements with major airlines, according to the AirlineGeeks report. The carrier’s announcement separately lists Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue and United as interline partners, but travelers should confirm connection and booking details with the airline before travel.

The scheduled transition will replace DuBois’ Pittsburgh and Washington Dulles links with nonstop service to Atlanta and Chicago O’Hare beginning in February 2027.
